YABBIT is the brainchild of our founder and Managing Director, Darren Jansz. Recognising the widespread issue of inadequate customer service from large corporations, he envisioned a solution that not only served end-users better but also supported the dealer networks essential to their achievements.

Dash, our team mascot, is the embodiment of YABBIT. Versatile and fun-loving, Dash combines the team’s spirit into one remarkable being, passionate about fast cars, humor, fitness, and volunteering. Dash’s traits include honesty, integrity, family values, and a love for fun.

MEET DARREN

Introducing Darren Jansz, also known as DJ, the Founder and Managing Director of UPTI, the parent company of YABBIT.

With 30+ years in the communications industry, Darren has harnessed his experience to lead and inspire the UPTI team. He’s instrumental in delivering world-class service and building a community around YABBIT. His dynamic and magnetic personality adds a unique touch to the industry.

MEET MEL

Meet Mel, also known as M&M or Eminem, Shan’s right-hand at UPTI. With 15+ years in service industries like hairdressing and health, she’s an excellent listener with a sharp eye for detail, dedicated to providing world-class service.

MEET BENNY

Meet Benny, also known as Bugs Benny, our lead burrow engineer at UPTI. Though he’s humble about it, Benny’s diverse expertise spans various communication solutions, from Cloud PBX to Contact Centre and more.

Benny’s keys to success are simple: kindness to all, problem-solving, and daily learning. His goals? Enhancing YABBIT and watching his children grow. We truly appreciate Benny!

MEET EDITH

Meet Edith, aka Mum! As UPTI’s finance lead, she brings a level-headed, commercial perspective to our dynamic team, ensuring smooth financial operations.

Raised in a small farming community, Edith’s deep commitment to family extends to her role at UPTI. She upholds old-fashioned values of integrity and authenticity.

Beyond work, Edith enjoys a good laugh and the occasional drink.

MEET THE TECHNICAL TEAM

JOANNE RYAN

Joanne is our senior project manager and head of the customer service area. Jo, has been in the industry for over 32 years and has also worked in the UK. Anything you need in the service area is Joannes realm. If you need it to happen, Joanne is the person that drives the outcome.

JACOB MYATT – SENIOR TECHNICAL ENGINEER

Jabob has been with us for 10 years now and is an expert in everything Telephony and Network. Jacob is the person to tackle the situation with patience and calmness. He looks outside of the normal areas and discovers causes that others don’t see. Jacob will solve the situation.

MARTIN LOWRY – THE SPECIALIST ENGINEER

Martin is especially fluent in the Avaya area. Martin has worked in the UK and Australia on the full enterprise Avaya stack. ACCS, AWFOS, IPOSS, SBC and the Aura system. Matin is an expert in all things Yabbit and now the new Yabbit XEN Contact centre (CCT) . Martin is that person that when its with him you know it will be completed.

PHILLIP HILL – SENIOR TECHNICAL ENGINEER.

Phil has over 25 years experience in this industry of Telecommunications. Phil has the patience and the ability to reduce stress in a situation. Phil will triage, eliminate issues and solve the situation and you may even have a laugh at the same time. Avaya, Yabbit, DECT, SIP, Installations and training and support. Phil solves the lot.

NATHAN JANSZ – TECHNICAL ENGINEER.

Nathan has 8 years in the industry and also has certifications in all this infrastructure network. Fibre, Ethernet and solving the physcial side is a specialist area. Nathan also has become an expert at all things AVAYA, Yabbit, Contact centre, Xima, Poly, Fanvil and now has taught himself code. Nathan has just completed a solution that a customer needed by writing the code and integrating with the API of Yabbit.  Nathan’s passion for getting things advancing in innovation is inspiring to the team.
